It is very difficult to relax in a room full of strangers, especially when you are working on personal issues such as weight management or stopping smoking.  In Susan’s office you will feel safe and secure, free to relax and get the most out of your hypnosis session.

Goal focused hypnosis means the focus of the hypnosis session is on the future, where do you want to see yourself, what do you want to see yourself doing differently, what thoughts do you need to be thinking to get there.

Cluck Like a Chicken

And it is important to note that the conscious mind does not disappear during hypnosis.  If you were in a comfortable and relaxed state, being hypnotized for weight loss and a hypnotist said, “now cluck like a chicken”, you would emerge from hypnosis, get up, and walk out!  The conscious mind is always there protecting you.  It subsides during hypnosis to allow the subconscious mind to become alert and active, but the conscious mind does not disappear.  If, under individual goal focused hypnosis, the hypnotist were to say anything outside of your comfort zone you would immediately emerge from the session.  Susan A. Clear Goals

Hypnosis is about using an individual’s own natural resources to create profound changes in their life. If a client does not want to make this change for themselves, then the change will not happen no matter what they try.  Good examples of this are when a client comes in to stop smoking only because their spouse or doctor wants them to quit, or when a client wants to lose weight so they can look good for their spouse.  The client does not really want to make the change, but they are rather attempting to make this change for another person.

Motivation and desire to achieve a goal must come from within in order for true and lasting transformation to occur.

At your FREE consultation, Susan A. James will help you to assess your desire to change.  Together you will create a program of success that works for you!  If your desire is not coming from within, Susan will help you to discover this and will not take you on as a client.  Why waste your money or time when you can simply contact her at a later date when you are ready to make the change for yourself.

Relaxation

Relaxation and positive, nurturing techniques are the basis of all of Susan’s programs.  Though you will feel relaxed and comfortable, you may or may not feel hypnotized.  The truest sign of hypnosis is in results, noticing changes in your daily habits and routines.  Deepness is not important, whether you feel you fell asleep at the beginning of the session or hear every word does not matter, so long as you experience changes in your habits upon emerging
